Elementary
Curriculum Overview
Focus: Built around 4 core learning skills, strengthened by integrated skills.
Core subjects: Bible, English, Mathematics, Geography, History, Social skills, Penmanship, Science & Health, Physical Education, Music.
From Grade 3: Computer skills (Grade 3 to 6) and French.
Progression: One upper class is added each year, continuing up to Grade 12.
Grading
Grade 1 to Grade 6:
Quizzes and tests are done periodically depending on teachers’ decision.
Exams are held at the end of each quarter; two or three days revision are given before the Exam dates.
Final exam or Standard Test is performed at the end of the school year for all Elementary classes.
Extracurricular Activities
The following activities are considered as extracurricular, due to the facts that:
– they are not assessed and not mentioned in the Report Card.
– they instill in children skills, competency and characters that they would not acquire through academic programs.

School Uniform
From October, all students at LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL must wear the school uniform on Fridays.
